The Set Design Department is a highly important sector within the structure of the São Paulo Aquarium. Currently, it consists of three professionals who bring the most beautiful dreams to life, creating replicas of Amazon rainforest environments, life-sized dinosaurs, ocean floors, sunken and submerged ships, submarines, polar stations, and more.
All scenic environments for our animals were also designed by this department, following the guidance of the aquarium’s biologists, veterinarians, and oceanographers.
The team is led by a professional with over 20 years of experience— a true artist who was awarded the title of “1st Plastic Artist in Aquatic Scenography” by Rank Brasil (the Brazilian Book of Records). His name is Lee Oliveira.
