REPTILES

Reptiles are vertebrate animals that belong to the Reptilia class and are classified into four orders: Testudines, Squamata, Crocodilia, and Sphenodonta. The term “reptile” refers to this group of animals that includes crocodiles, snakes, lizards, and turtles, as well as groups of extinct animals like dinosaurs.

This group exhibits an immense variety of animals with diverse body shapes and adaptations, but they share some common characteristics, including thick and waterproof skin covered by scales, pulmonary respiration, and the presence of an amniotic egg.
